Privacy The Club will collect personal information that is necessary for the Club to meet or fulfil its activities and functions and is also required by law. The information can include the name, address, gender etc relating to membership applications at the Club and other information collected as the result of accessing the facilities and services provided by the Club such as player loyalty systems. The Club will use lawful and fair means that are not intrusive to collect personal information. Where lawful and practical, the Club will provide members and patrons with a choice of interacting anonymously with the Club. The Club will use personal information in ways that are legal, fair and ethical and where practicable will seek the consent of the members and patron about whom the information relates before using the personal information. The Club will disclose personal information in circumstances when it is required by law, including to third parties that provide services under contract to the Club. Where lawful, the Club will also disclose personal information for promotional and marketing activities or other secondary purposes. The Club will provide opportunities to patrons and members to access the information held about them by the Club to the extent provided by law and will promptly correct the information if advised in writing that the information is not accurate, complete or up to date. The Club has procedures in place to facilitate privacy complaints where the member or patron must first contact the Privacy Officer at the Club before approaching the Privacy Commissioner. If this facilitation is not to the satisfaction of the complainant, the Club will advise the member or patron to refer the complaint to the Privacy Commission. Gaming Responsible Gaming is important to Southside Sport and Community Club. Whilst the majority of people gamble responsibly, a small percentage of people may experience difficulties associated with their gaming behaviours. Southside Sport and Community Club offer free, confidential service providing information and referrals for professional counselling. Responsible Service of Alcohol The Club discourages excessive drinking. Straight drinks of spirits/liquors (or shots) will be served at the Managers/Supervisors discretion. Staff will not serve more than one nip (30ml) of spirits per glass. Southside does not seek to encourage rapid or excessive consumption of alcohol through pricing. A range of drinks are offered on these premises. These include a range of non-alcoholic beverages and complimentary iced water is provided. Low alcohol beers and non-alcoholic beverages are stocked and promoted. Southside seeks to create an environment that discourages drunken, disruptive or violent behaviour. Staff have been acquainted with this House Policy and have been trained to implement it. The Duty Manager will determine whether or not service should be refused. If service is refused the Duty Manager will politely explain to the patron(s) that the Club cannot legally serve alcohol to the point of intoxication. If such patrons fail to leave the Police will be called and patrons may be fined. |
